Drywall Repair

Wall and ceiling repairs that blend with the surrounding surface. Holes, cracks, and damage patched to a finish ready for paint.

Wall Repairs That Actually Blend In

Drywall damage is one of the more common things we see — a doorknob punched through a wall, a water stain from a fixed leak, nail pops, cracks along ceiling seams, or holes left from removed fixtures. The damage itself isn't always the difficult part. What takes skill is finishing the repair so it doesn't stand out after painting.

We apply joint compound in layers, allow proper drying time between coats, and sand carefully to match the surface profile of the surrounding wall. For walls with texture, we work to replicate that texture rather than leaving a flat patch that will be obvious once painted.

Our drywall repairs are delivered paint-ready. If painting is needed afterward, we can discuss that as an additional service or leave it for you to handle — whichever you prefer.

Drywall Work We Handle

  • Small to medium holes (doorknobs, hardware, anchors)
  • Larger holes requiring backer support or patch panels
  • Cracks along seams, corners, and ceiling joints
  • Nail pops and fastener repairs
  • Water-damaged drywall patching (after leak is resolved)
  • Ceiling patch work
  • Corner bead repair and replacement
  • Surface preparation for painting

Texture matching: We make a reasonable effort to match existing wall textures. Very distinctive or applied textures may not match exactly — we'll discuss expectations with you before we start so there are no surprises.

Drywall Repair Questions

How long does a drywall repair take?
Small patches can typically be completed in a single visit. Larger repairs that involve multiple coats of compound may require a second visit to allow proper drying between coats. We'll tell you this upfront when we estimate the job.
Will the repair be visible after painting?
A properly done repair, once painted, should be difficult or impossible to detect under normal lighting. We sand carefully and match the existing texture as closely as possible. Painting after the repair is important — unprimed compound has a different sheen that can make it visible.
There was a water stain on my ceiling — can you fix that?
Yes, provided the source of the leak has been resolved first. We can patch and repair water-damaged drywall once the area is dry. If the moisture issue hasn't been fixed, any drywall repair is temporary. We can advise you on this when we assess the area.
Do you handle drywall repairs in older homes?
Yes. Older homes sometimes have plaster rather than drywall, or a combination. We'll assess the material when we look at the repair and let you know if the approach changes. Plaster repairs are workable but may differ slightly in process.
