Plumbing Repairs

Minor plumbing issues handled cleanly and efficiently. Leaks, drips, clogs, and small pipe problems addressed before they become bigger ones.

Small Plumbing Problems, Properly Fixed

A dripping faucet might seem like a minor inconvenience, but a faucet that drips once per second can waste over 11,000 litres of water in a year. A slow drain left unaddressed can eventually block completely. A running toilet can add significantly to your water bill without you noticing right away.

Jer Repair handles the kind of plumbing issues that homeowners deal with regularly — things that don't require a licensed plumber but do need someone with the right knowledge and tools to address them properly. We work cleanly, leave the area tidy, and make sure the fix holds.

We're straightforward about what's within our scope. If we arrive and find something that requires a licensed plumber, we'll tell you that clearly rather than attempting work we shouldn't be doing.

Plumbing Issues We Repair

  • Dripping or leaking faucets — kitchen, bathroom, utility
  • Running toilets and faulty flush mechanisms
  • Slow or partially blocked drains
  • Leaking supply line connections under sinks
  • Loose or dripping showerheads
  • Toilet seat and hardware replacement
  • Faucet cartridge and washer replacement
  • Under-sink P-trap leaks and minor drain fitting repairs
  • Basic fixture swap-outs (with homeowner-supplied fixture)

Note on scope: We handle minor plumbing repairs. Work involving main supply lines, drain system reconfiguration, or anything requiring permits is beyond our scope and requires a licensed plumber. We'll always tell you this upfront if that's the situation.

Plumbing Repair Questions

My faucet drips slowly — is that worth fixing?
Yes. A slow drip is often a sign of a worn washer or cartridge. These are inexpensive parts and the repair is straightforward. Beyond the water waste, leaving it can cause mineral buildup and make the eventual fix more involved.
Do I need to shut off the water before you arrive?
No, we handle that. It's helpful if you know where the main shut-off is in case we need to locate it quickly, but we'll take care of isolating the supply to the fixture we're working on.
Can you install a new faucet I've already purchased?
Yes, for standard swap-outs where the existing plumbing configuration is compatible. Let us know the fixture model when you contact us so we can confirm before scheduling.
What if the drain is completely blocked?
We handle partial blockages and slow drains. For full blockages deeper in the drain system, we may recommend a drain cleaning service with specialized equipment. We'll assess and tell you honestly what's needed.
